The Crane Axle 35 Spline Dana 60 Kingpin Drive Flange Kit is designed for builders who need a stronger and more reliable alternative to traditional locking hubs in high-abuse off-road environments. Built for rock crawling, rock bouncing, competition rigs, and heavy-duty trail use, this kit eliminates the internal moving parts commonly associated with locking hubs while providing a direct mechanical connection between the axle shaft and wheel hub.
The drive pucks are machined from heat-treated 8620 chromoly steel for improved strength and resistance to spline wear under high torque loads. Precision-machined 6061 aluminum caps feature a black anodized finish and integrated O-ring sealing to help protect internal components from mud, water, and debris. This kit is compatible with both GM and Ford Kingpin Dana 60 wheel hubs, making it a versatile option for a wide range of front axle builds.
Includes:
- (2) 35 Spline Drive Pucks – 8620 Heat Treated Chromoly Steel
- (2) 6061 Aluminum Caps – Black Anodized with Engraved Crane Axle Logo
- All Necessary O-Rings and Hardware

Tech Insight
Drive flanges eliminate the internal engagement mechanisms found in traditional locking hubs, reducing the number of moving parts exposed to shock loads and drivetrain stress. In extreme off-road environments, locking hubs are often a failure point when subjected to large tires, hydraulic steering, and aggressive throttle application.
By using a fixed drive connection, this setup transfers torque directly from the axle shaft into the hub assembly without relying on locking mechanisms that can wear or disengage under load. Heat-treated 8620 chromoly construction improves spline durability while the sealed aluminum cap helps protect components from contamination during mud, water, and rock exposure.
